Sentara Obici Hospital in Suffolk, VA is hiring a Guest Relations Representative for an evening full-time shift (3:00 PM–11:30 PM, Fri/Sat/Sun/Mon/Tues). The role acts as a liaison between patients, families and hospital staff, ensuring a welcoming environment and addressing concerns for a smooth experience.

Responsibilities include verifying patient registration, escorting patients and guests, and responding to requests.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED Equivalent (Required).
• Previous customer service or healthcare experience (Preferred).

The Guest Relations Representative is a liaison between patients, families, visitors, and hospital and medical team members. Responsible for providing a welcoming and genuine environment and address concerns to ensure a smooth and comfortable experience for patients.

Responsible for verifying patient registration and escorting patients and guests to their destination by walking or use of a wheelchair. Gives personal attention, takes personal responsibility and uses teamwork when providing guest services. Responds promptly to patient, family and team member requests.

Education

• HS Diploma or GED Equivalent (Required)

Certification/Licensure

• No specific certification or licensure requirements

Experience

• Previous customer service or healthcare experience (Preferred)

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $19.38 - $28.69 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
