Job Description

The Guest Services Representative (GSR) at Hyatt Place Milwaukee Downtown is responsible for providing world-class service to all guests. The GSR will handle front desk operations to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth hotel functioning.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests during check-in, ensuring satisfaction with rooms.
• Handle guest check-outs, billing, and resolve issues promptly.
• Manage cash transactions and maintain accurate records.
• Answer inquiries, take reservations, and promote hotel services.
• Address guest concerns courteously, in person and over the phone.
• Operate telephone systems, assist with calls, and schedule wake-up calls.
• Complete shift checklists for daily tasks.
• Process mail, messages, and faxes efficiently.
• Maintain communication through logs and inform incoming shifts of issues.
• Serve as a cashier and attend to market needs as required.
• Maintain professional appearance and proper uniform.
• Greet and assist guests, visitors, and team members courteously.
• Be proficient in Safety and Security Policies and train team members accordingly.
• Report suspicious activity and write Guest Incident reports as needed.
• Follow Safety, Security, OSHA, and Blood Borne Pathogens regulations.
• Utilize office equipment; lift supplies up to 50 lbs.; stand and walk for long periods.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Previous customer service or hotel experience required; Hilton experience helpful.
• Friendly demeanor, excellent communication and customer service skills, strong organizational abilities.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand, walk, reach, push, pull, twist, and bend.
