Join to apply for the Guest Service Manager role at General Hotels Corporation.

General Hotels Corporation has an immediate opening for a Guest Services Manager at the Springhill Suites Terre Haute. The Guest Service Manager will oversee Front Desk operations to ensure quality service and standards while delivering an exceptional guest experience. They will supervise the Guest Services team directly. This position reports to the General Manager and is part of the property’s Senior Leadership Team.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of the operation and service for the Rooms and Guest Services Departments.
  • Ensure effective orientation and training for new staff and develop activities for experienced staff.
  • Provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to improve team performance and morale.
  • Support department managers in greeting guests, covering shifts, providing direction, and overseeing customer service and cleanliness.
  • Collaborate with all hotel departments to ensure guest, group, and employee satisfaction.
  • Address complaints and advise the General Manager on corrective actions.
  • Ensure guest billing accuracy and complete accounting responsibilities.
  • Work with the Sales Department to manage occupancy and group room blocks.
  • Participate in weekly Revenue Management Meetings.
  • Conduct weekly inspections with the Executive Housekeeper.
  • Forecast revenue for each department monthly.
  • Monitor budget and control expenses focusing on room rate, guest scores, and labor costs.
  • Review and approve invoices, maintaining the expense budget.
  • Ensure Brand Standards are maintained across departments.
  • Participate in Quality Inspections and the Manager on Duty Program.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and safety regulations.
Job Requirements
  • Experience supervising hotel Housekeeping and Front Desk operations.
  • Guest-focused with problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask and make quick decisions.
  • Experience with PMS systems.
  • Strong guest relations skills.
  • Budget and P&L experience preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and insurance required.
  • Associate’s Degree in Hospitality is a plus.
  • Fluent English; bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Reliable transportation and availability to work evenings and weekends.
