Comfort Inn & Suites in Montpelier, VT is seeking a friendly Guest Service Agent for a part-time role. You will handle guest check-in/out, reservations and provide local information to ensure a memorable stay.

The position requires customer-service experience, English proficiency, and the ability to work onsite. Hours are 16–24 per week across morning, afternoon, evening and overnight shifts, with potential for growth and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Manage online, phone and in-person room reservations in sometimes fast-paced environment.

• Take payment and resolve any payment discrepancies.
• Respond to guest issues and complaints in a friendly, timely manner.
• Explain local amenities and attractions to guests.
• Work with other staff members to ensure that all guest rooms meet hotel standards and accommodate any special guest requests.
• Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, and in good working order.

Job Description

We are seeking a friendly, customer service focused Guest Service Agent to join our team at Comfort Inn & Suite . This is a Part Time position located in Montpelier, VT . In this position you will be responsible for guest registration, making reservations, and providing guests with information about the hotel and the local area. If you have a knack for customer service and previous service-related work experience, we’d like to meet you.

Work Performed

As a Guest Service Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional service and ensuring a memorable stay. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working with people, this is the perfect role for you.

• Perform duties as outlined in the training procedures, following standard operating procedures
• Assist with other departments when necessary
• Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience
• 1 or more full years employment experience in a related position
• Must be able to work onsite at the hotel location
• Hours required: Part Time 16-24 hours per week for Morning (AM);Afternoon (PM);Evening;Overnight;Must be flexible;Weekends/ Holidays
• Proficiency in the English language
• Willingness to learn new technology platforms
• Ability to stand at front desk for long periods of time
• Ability to lift/push up to 50 lbs. guest luggage; limited
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times

Additional Preferred Skills/Qualities

• Previous customer facing experience preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft suite
• Second language is a plus, preferably Spanish or French

$18 Hourly
