Job Description
The Guest Service Agent provides friendly and informative guest service while assisting with guest luggage and coordinating tour group luggage handling. Responsible for safely parking, operating, and retrieving guest vehicles. Interacting with customers, issuing and collecting parking tickets, assisting patrons in/out of their vehicles when necessary, and miscellaneous activities as assigned.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing superior guest service, positively interacting with guests and team members, and handling difficult guests professionally.
  • Adhering to established department and property policies regarding guest service standards.
  • Assigning guest accommodations according to current procedures.
  • Assisting guests with luggage storage, scooter, and wheelchair rentals.
  • Handling assigned bank properly and performing account postings.
  • Maintaining knowledge of hotel occupancy, special events, in-house groups, and daily operations.
  • Computing bills, collecting payments, and making changes for guests.
  • Making, modifying, canceling, extending, and confirming room reservations.
  • Processing guest accounts efficiently upon checkout.
  • Maintaining positive guest relations and referring concerns to appropriate personnel if necessary.
  • Staying informed about all Belterra Casino Resort services and entertainment options.
  • Answering inquiries related to hotel services, shopping, dining, and directions.
  • Completing operational duties such as sorting mail, daily reports, and maintaining public areas.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by Hotel Leadership.

Qualifications

  • Ability to operate all relevant equipment, including keyboards, telephones, fax machines, copiers, and mobility aids.
  • Effective communication skills with guests and team members.
  • Ability to move effectively around the Front Desk and access guest information on a computer.
  • Ability to work in crowded and noisy environments depending on guest volume.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts and schedules.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is a plus.
  • Effective guest service skills.
  • Must obtain and maintain necessary licenses and certifications as per regulations.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.

The position generally requires a high school education or equivalent and two months of on-the-job training or related experience.
