What You'll Do

The Guest Service Agent is responsible for registration and check-out, PBX operations, mail and message service—all while providing outstanding service to our guests. You'll act as an advocate for the hotel, create personalized experiences, and develop relationships with guests that encourage repeat visits.

Some Of Your Responsibilities Include
  • Review arrivals, noting special requests and blocking rooms as needed.
  • Check in and out hotel guests in a confident, professional, and friendly manner.
  • Answer all phone calls promptly and knowledgeably, ensuring complete and accurate information.
  • Complete all items on the appropriate (AM, PM, Overnight) checklist by end of shift.
  • Conduct pre-assignment of hotel rooms, including VIPs, repeat guests, packages, and special requests.
  • Follow established key control policies.
  • Ensure proper credit policies are followed.
  • Submit all lost & found articles with a completed report.
  • Open, secure, and balance out the daily shift bank, verifying cash, check, and credit card transactions.
  • Verify credit limit reports.
  • Monitor room availability throughout the day.
  • Review daily hotel selling status using the yield management system.
  • Attend department meetings once a month.
  • Communicate with other departments via telephone and radio, including Reservations, Sales, Housekeeping, Bell Staff, and Valet.
What You Bring
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • At least 1 year of experience at a full-service hotel front desk is required.
  • Knowledge of the local area, services, attractions, and events.
  • Flexible schedule to work evenings, weekends, overnight shifts, and holidays.
  • Ability to work well under pressure with many arrivals and departures.
  • Familiarity with hotel systems and accurate data entry skills.
