Job summary

The Kingston Resorts, Myrtle Beach, is seeking a skilled Guest Service Agent for an on-call role at the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort. You will greet guests, handle inquiries, describe room accommodations, and help resolve issues to ensure a superior guest experience.

Responsibilities include maintaining knowledge of hotel operations, processing guest requests, and assisting other departments with guest information. On-call shifts offer growth within a large resort network.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience as a Guest Service Agent.
• Knowledge of hotel operations and guest services.
• Excellent phone etiquette and guest communication.

• Maintain knowledge of hotel operations, daily activities and room products.
• Answer calls within 3 rings with proper salutations and etiquette.
• Describe room accommodations and amenities to guests.
• Accommodate guest requests and document them in the system per SOP.
• Resolve guest complaints to ensure satisfaction.
• Assist departments with groups, inventory and guest information.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Description

The Kingston Resorts is a 145 acre oceanfront resort on the north-end of Myrtle Beach. Less than 2 miles from Tanger Outlets and a short 20 minute trip to Broadway at the Beach. This resort is home to the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort, Embassy Suites Myrtle Beach, Kingston Plantation Condos, and Royale Palms. Responsibilities

• Maintain complete knowledge of hotel operations, scheduled daily activities, and room products.
• Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
• Answer telephone calls within 3 rings, using correct salutations and telephone etiquette.
• Ascertain callers' needs through open-ended questions.
• Describe room accommodations and all amenities.
• Accommodate special requests and designate such in the system following the hotel's standard operating procedures.
• Access guest history records to best service guests; maintain accurate information in guest history files.
• Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Obtain assigned bank and ensure accuracy of contracted monies. Always keep the bank secure.
• Communicate pertinent guest information to designated departments/personnel (i.e. special requests, amenity delivery).
• Present folio to guest and resolve any disputed charges.
• Assist all departments/executives in obtaining appropriate information regarding groups, inventory, and guest information.
• Perform additional duties, as assigned.
