Job description

Join to apply for the Guest Service Agent role at StepStone Hospitality.

Responsibilities:
  1. Register and assign rooms to guests.
  2. Issue room keys and escort instructions to Guest Service Agents or directly to guests.
  3. Sort and track incoming mail and messages.
  4. Transmit and receive messages via all communication channels.
  5. Answer inquiries regarding hotel services, guest registration, shopping, dining, entertainment, and travel directions.
  6. Maintain records of room availability and rates.
  7. Compute bills, collect payments, and make change for guests.
  8. Make, confirm, and cancel reservations through all communication channels.
  9. Post charges such as room, food, liquor, or telephone to guest bills if the interface is inoperable.
  10. Assist with reservations for transportation or entertainment.
  11. Deposit guest valuables in the hotel safe deposit box.
  12. Use office software accurately and efficiently.
  13. Possess comprehensive knowledge of hotel operations, including night audit procedures.
  14. Communicate effectively in English with guests, staff, and vendors.
  15. Report information accurately.
  16. Assist with various office tasks as needed.
  17. Follow all hotel policies and procedures diligently.
  18. Attend required meetings.
  19. Complete projects and assignments professionally and thoroughly.
  20. Adapt to high-pressure situations and be open to change.
  21. Engage in personal growth and development.
  22. Understand all hotel departments and functions.
  23. Possess good mathematical and computer skills.
  24. Have a high school diploma; additional training or education is preferred.
  25. CPR and first aid training are preferred.
  26. Additional language skills are a plus.

  • Strong organizational and computer skills.
