Job summary

Pearl River Resort is seeking a Guest Room Supervisor-Housekeeping for a full-time on-site role at Choctaw, MS. You will coordinate the activities of Guest Room Attendants, Status Board/Dispatch and Administrative Clerks to ensure exceptionally clean guest rooms and smooth turnover to the Front Desk.

This role requires supervisory experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and the ability to work varying schedules in a gaming environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Two years supervisory hotel cleaning experience and/or AA degree or equivalent preferred.
• Must possess effective communication and organizational skills.
• Gaming property – ability to obtain and maintain a gaming license.

Responsibilities

• Inspect each assigned guest room prior to occupancy to ensure cleanliness and quick turnover.
• Supervise Room Attendants, Dispatch and Administrative Clerks on assigned shift.
• Provide direction to staff for resolving quality, work methods, and safety issues.
• Monitor computer system to track room vacancies for cleaning and maintenance.
• Maintain supplies of linens, chemicals, and amenities; reorder as needed.
• Staffing: train, schedule, evaluate, assist with career development and discipline as needed.
• Lead by example to ensure attendance and professionalism.
