Job summary

The Gerald Hotel Grand Rapids, MI, is seeking a Housekeeping Inspector under Hotel Equities’ management. The role focuses on supervising room cleaners, ensuring rooms meet standards, and maintaining accurate daily records.

This full-time position requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with front desk and engineering to prioritize guest satisfaction. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School diploma /Secondary qualification or equivalent.
• Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham or Hyatt processes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervises room cleaners in prompt and efficient housekeeping of customer rooms.
• Inspects all check out/stay over rooms after they are made up to ensure they are cleaned to Company standards.
• Keeps record of room checkouts/stay overs, submits records to housekeeping every day.
• Monitors quality of rooms by conducting and documenting inspections of cleaned rooms.
• Coordinates housekeeping work with related departments such as front desk, engineering, banquet services and room services.
• Ensure all Housekeeping quality standards are complied with and that policies and procedures are consistently applied.
