Job summary

The Gerald Hotel Grand Rapids in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Inspector for a full-time role to supervise room cleaners and ensure rooms meet brand standards. You will coordinate housekeeping priorities with front desk and other departments to maximize guest satisfaction.

This role requires a high school diploma and experience with major hotel brands. Strong communication, leadership, and physical ability to perform duties are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma /Secondary qualification or equivalent.
• Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham or Hyatt processes and standards.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs on a regular and continuing basis; push/pull carts up to 250 lbs; bend, stoop, and stretch as needed.

Responsibilities

• Supervises room cleaners in prompt and efficient housekeeping of customer rooms.
• Inspects rooms for cleanliness and adherence to company standards; notifies front desk of issues.
• Keeps records of room checkouts/stay-overs and submits daily reports to housekeeping.
• Coordinates cleaning of guestrooms based on VIP status and expected check-out dates.
• Assists in training and direction of new department associates to ensure quality standards are met.
• Coordinates housekeeping activities with front desk, engineering, and banquet services.
