Job summary

Ascent Hospitality is seeking a Housekeeping Room Inspector to supervise floors and inspect all guest rooms before turnover. The role includes training staff, ensuring cleanliness standards are met, and coordinating daily housekeeping activities with the front desk and management.

The ideal candidate has housekeeping experience, supervisory skills, and the ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. This on-site position emphasizes brand standards and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Housekeeping experience required.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Previous commercial cleaning and/or guest service experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of cleaning utensils, dryers, vacuums, tools and fixtures.
• Ability to work quickly under pressure.
• Ability to follow directions and instructions.
• Ability to read in English and print and speak simple sentences.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic (add/subtract).
• Strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates daily activities and staffing to clean guest rooms and public areas.
• Inspects guest rooms and public areas daily to ensure quality standards.
• Trains and coaches housekeeping team members.
• Prepares weekly inventory and reports discrepancies.
• Places purchase orders for supplies and informs management of needs.
• Maintains communication with housekeeping leadership and front desk.
• Ensures safety policies are followed and equipment is maintained.
• Assists in training new housekeeping employees.
• Ensures rooms are ready for guest check-in and logs all status changes.
