The Gables in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Guest Room Host to create welcoming, comfortable spaces that reflect our hospitality standards.

Responsibilities include preparing rooms, making beds, cleaning and sanitizing, replenishing amenities, and ensuring quality before guest arrivals. You will collaborate with a small team, respond to guest requests warmly, and participate in seasonal cleaning and inventory tasks.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping, hospitality, janitorial, or customer service preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management and team members.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare guest rooms to the hotel's cleanliness and presentation standards before each arrival.
• Make beds using established hotel standards, ensuring a crisp, inviting appearance.
• Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms and bathrooms.
• Dust furniture, fixtures, artwork, and decorative elements with care.
• Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors.
• Replenish linens, towels, bath amenities, and other guest amenities.
• Inspect rooms to ensure quality standards before guest arrival.
• Report maintenance concerns, damaged items, or safety hazards promptly.
• Respect guest privacy and follow security procedures when entering occupied rooms.
• Respond to guest requests with warmth and professionalism.
• Participate in seasonal deep cleaning and preventative maintenance.
