Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels is seeking a Room Attendant in Los Angeles to clean guest rooms and public spaces and assist in the laundry area as needed. You will work with the Housekeeping Management Team to meet brand standards and guest satisfaction.

The role requires light to moderate physical activity, adherence to safety procedures, and flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Prior housekeeping experience is preferred and training is provided.

Qualifications

• Some previous housekeeping experience preferred.
• Previous background from the extended stay industry preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English is preferred.
• Frequently standing, bending, climbing, kneeling, and moving about the facility.
• Carrying, lifting or pulling items weighing up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver on the promise of Sonesta Service in all interactions with guests and clients.
• Respond to guest complaints and ensure corrective action for satisfaction.
• Clean and service rooms or areas per standards including beds, dusting, vacuuming, bathrooms.
• Notify supervisor when service is completed and report unserviceable rooms.
• Operate washers and dryers when assigned to laundry and handle linens.
• Minimize waste of supplies and assist with deep cleaning projects.
• Report repairs or unsafe conditions to supervisor and handle lost and found items.
