Job summary

Sonesta International Hotels Corporation is hiring a Room Attendant to support the Housekeeping Management Team in cleaning guest rooms and public areas, and to back up the Laundry Department when needed.

The role emphasizes guest satisfaction, adherence to Sonesta's G.U.E.S.T. standards, and teamwork across shifts, with mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays required. This position offers comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, retirement plans, and hotel discounts.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping is preferred.
• Extended stay industry background preferred.
• Fluent English reading/writing/speaking is preferred; other languages helpful.
• Basic reading, writing and math abilities preferred.
• Must be able to stand, bend, climb, kneel and lift up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service rooms and public areas per standards, including beds, dusting, vacuuming, bathrooms and trash removal.
• Notify supervisor when service is completed to make rooms available.
• If assigned to laundry, monitor supplies and operate washers/dryers.
• Handle lost and found items according to procedures.
• Promote teamwork and coordinate with shifts and management.
• Follow health and safety regulations; perform other duties as assigned.
