Job summary

Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Marion is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to keep guest rooms, common areas, and equipment in top condition. You’ll perform routine upkeep, troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and appliances, and coordinate with housekeeping to ensure guest-ready spaces.

Qualifications

• Prior maintenance or facilities experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to use hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Clear verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Daily Upkeep: Perform routine maintenance and repair duties to ensure all rooms, common areas, and equipment are functioning properly.
• Troubleshooting: Respond quickly to maintenance requests involving HVAC, plumbing, lighting, furniture, and appliances.
• Preventive Maintenance: Assist with ongoing maintenance schedules to prevent equipment failure and keep systems running efficiently.
• Safety First: Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with local codes and brand standards.
• Collaborate: Work closely with housekeeping and front office teams to resolve issues and keep the property guest-ready.
