Job summary

Target is seeking an Executive Team Leader in New York to drive guest-centric store operations and sales growth. You will lead a diverse team, recruit talent, and implement development plans to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

You will manage staffing, training, and performance, ensuring ethical conduct and safety while maintaining a guest-focused culture. This role starts in Winter or Summer 2027 and offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 4 year degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create a guest-obsessed culture that prioritizes the guest experience and delivers on store sales goals.
• Anticipate staffing needs, talent plan and recruit – both long and short term.
• Manage leaders to follow up on training completion, check for understanding, and provide continuous education opportunities.
• Engage in consistent and meaningful development conversations with Team leaders.
• Personalize recognition and appreciation to reinforce critical guest service behaviors and promote a positive team and guest centric culture.
• Establish a culture of accountability through clear expectations and performance management.
• Understand business reporting and guest insights to understand, troubleshoot and follow up on opportunity areas.
• Respond to negative guest shopping experiences and de-escalate as needed.
• Create a scheduling plan in partnership with Team Leaders based on workload and guest traffic.
• Plan, manage and follow-up on organizational and operational change.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; lead by example.
• Address store needs (emergency, regulatory visits, etc.).
• All other duties based on business needs.
