Job summary

Sur La Table is seeking a Sales Associate to inspire customers through every stage of their culinary journey. You will support daily operations, deliver a best-in-center experience, and help drive sales by sharing product knowledge.

You will engage customers, promote add-ons, and collaborate with the team to maintain a positive, high-performing store culture while processing transactions and upholding SOPs.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of employment.
• 1 year of retail sales experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Passion for community engagement and providing exceptional customer experiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and retail management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Represent brand and culture by creating memorable, educational experiences that inspire repeat visits and customer loyalty
• Stays current on products through training and independent learning
• Actively engage customers, identify needs, recommend relevant products
• Maximize selling opportunities and promote add-on sales
• Support events that grow store traffic and engagement
• Meet or exceed monthly sales goals and KPI targets
• Collaborate with team to maintain a positive store culture
• Assist onboarding of new associates with product knowledge
• Process transactions accurately using the POS system
• Assist in opening/closing, replenishment, and visual merchandising
• Complete inventory transactions including receiving, MOS, and RARs
• Adhere to wage and hour laws and record time accurately
• Communicate SOPs to associates and ensure compliance
