Job summary

Sur La Table in Portland, OR is seeking a part-time Sales Associate to inspire customers through their culinary journey and deliver an exceptional in-store experience. You will support daily operations, share product knowledge, and help drive sales by engaging guests at every step of their shopping experience.

You will stay current on products, assist with opening/closing, floor replenishment, and merchandising, and process transactions using the POS system.

Qualifications

• Represent Sur La Table’s brand and culture by creating memorable, educational experiences that inspire repeat visits and customer loyalty.
• Maintains expertise by staying current on products, actively engaging in available training, and independently seeking out additional resources.
• Actively engage customers, identify their needs, recommend relevant products or experiences, and lead a customer-focused, Guest Obsessed culture.
• Maximize selling opportunities by identifying customer needs and offering relevant solutions.
• Promote add-on sales and support events that grow store traffic and customer engagement.
• Consistently meet or exceed monthly sales goals, contributing to overall store revenue via KPIs.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, inclusive, and high-performing store culture.
• Support onboarding of new associates by sharing product knowledge and best practices.
• Accurately and efficiently process transactions including sales, returns, and price checks using the POS system.
• Assist in daily opening and closing procedures, floor replenishment, and maintaining visual merchandising standards.
• Complete inventory transactions including receiving, MOS, and RARs.
• Adhere to wage and hour laws; record time worked according to SLT Policy.
• Model and ensure all Sur La Table SOPs are communicated and followed.
