Oyster Loft in Pismo Beach, operated by Custom House Restaurant Group, is seeking a professional server. The right candidate will be friendly, outgoing and passionate about food and service, thriving in a bustling, fast-paced dining room.

We provide full coverage for Food Handlers and Responsible Beverage Service training and certification. Flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays is desired, and the team emphasizes guest experience and teamwork on every shift.

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience.
• Able to keep up in a fast-paced work environment.
• Knowledge of food service regulations.
• Wine and spirit knowledge.
• Able to stay on your feet for an extended period and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent written and verbal skills.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a California Food Handler's Certification card and Responsible Beverage Service Certification.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and direct them to their tables.
• Take food and beverage orders and enter them into our system in a timely fashion.
• Memorize our food and beverage menus and make recommendations to dining room guests.
• Provide attentive service to guests by refilling drinks as needed and checking in during meals.
• Promptly address guest service issues and refer guests to management when necessary.
• Maintain sanitation standards and practices.
