Qualifications

• One year of prior food and beverage experience preferred.
• Prior guest relations training.
• Knowledge of proper food handling.
• Strong written/verbal communications skills.
• Experience with computers (MS Office/Google) and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Greet all customers warmly.
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards.
• Prepare dining tables for service, lay out napkins and utensils, refill condiments.
• Take guest food and beverage orders accurately.
• Know current menu choices, specialties and deviations.
• Handle table assignments and seating, suggest menu items.
• Communicate customer needs to the cooks.
• Ensure a memorable dining experience.
• Open and pour wine tableside.
• Record revenue and process payments.
• Perform basic cleaning tasks as needed.
• Assist with special events if needed.
• Answer telephone with proper etiquette.
• Build positive relationships with coworkers.
• Bus tables and assist with dirty dishes.
• Assist kitchen with prep or plating as needed.
• Clean front of house areas (windows, fixtures, entrance).
• Fill water bottles, cut fruit, roll silverware, and other tasks.
