Job summary

The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Dallas Near the Galleria is seeking a friendly restaurant server to deliver food and beverages, take orders, and ensure guest satisfaction. You will greet guests, describe specials, input orders into the POS, and deliver meals with accuracy and courtesy.

You must follow state and corporate liquor regulations, hold a Food Handler certificate or obtain within 30 days, and have basic knowledge of service standards, English communication, and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcohol to minors and intoxicated guests.
• Holds a current Food Handler certification and TABC or ability to obtain within 30 days.
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards and guest relations.
• Basic knowledge of English to understand inquiries and communicate instructions.
• Ability to operate beverage equipment and present menus effectively.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a friendly, courteous manner and explain specials/promotions.
• Record and input order details into the POS and relay to the kitchen.
• Deliver orders to guests with accuracy and appropriate condiments.
• Abide by liquor regulations and check guest satisfaction; upsell desserts/coffee as needed.
• Replenish beverages and assist with clearing/resettling tables.
• Perform side work and maintain health standards; present checks promptly.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain neat, groomed appearance.
