Job summary

SpartanNash in St. Joseph, Michigan is seeking a front-end associate to display and stock products, process transactions, and uphold guest experience and safety guidelines.

You will contribute to store profitability by accurate cash handling, loyalty program enrollment, and friendly service. The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of retail experience, strong communication and organizational skills, and a detail‑oriented approach.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of prior retail or related experience preferred.
• Good verbal communication skills; ability to interact politely with customers.
• Good customer service and organizational skills; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Process financial transactions including cash, checks, credit cards, loyalty cards, and coupons accurately.
• Assist in stocking and stocking items in required areas of the store.
• Operate the cash register and enroll guests in loyalty programs.
• Maintain a clean and neat service area and ensure pricing/signage accuracy.
• Communicate store programs and promotions to customers and model high service standards.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and PPE guidelines and uphold guest experience guidelines.
