Job summary

Le Pain Quotidien in Westport, CT is seeking team members to deliver friendly, attentive service across guest visits, including drinks and pastry. You’ll prepare drinks, manage to-go orders, and handle transactions with care within a warm, community-focused setting.

Qualifications

• 1–3 months of related restaurant experience or training.
• Experience with POS systems, Toast a plus.
• Flexibility in schedule is highly preferred.
• Ability to be cross-trained in all areas of the dining room and retail space.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and attentive service to all guests throughout the visit.
• Anticipate guest needs and note preferences.
• Prepare all drinks for retail and dining room, including batches for the retail counter.
• Bag, box, and arrange to-go food and pastry.
• Perform sales transactions per cash handling policy.
• Maintain pastry and display quality throughout the day.
• Handle guest situations with empathy and escalate to a manager as needed.
• Complete opening, mid, and closing procedures and daily checklists.
• Keep restaurant areas clean and organized per cleaning checklists.
