Job summary

Le Pain Quotidien in Westport, CT, is hiring for a part-time team member to deliver warm, attentive service and manage both retail and dining room duties. You will prepare drinks for retail and dining, handle to-go packaging, and process sales with consistent accuracy.

A friendly demeanor and ability to cross-train across dining and retail spaces are essential. Candidates with 1–3 months restaurant experience, familiarity with Toast POS, and flexibility in scheduling are preferred.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 months of related restaurant experience or training.
• Experience with POS systems, especially Toast.
• Flexibility in schedule is highly preferred but not required.
• Ability to be cross-trained in all dining room and retail areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and attentive service to all guests throughout the visit.
• Prepare all drinks for retail and dining room, including batches for the retail counter.
• Bag, box, and arrange to-go food and pastry.
• Handle sales transactions in line with cash handling policy.
• Maintain pastry display and knowledge of menu items; assist where needed.
• Open, mid, and closing procedures; daily checklist completion; side work.
