Job summary

Algonquin Golf Club in Saint Louis, MO is seeking a Field Bar Attendant to provide exceptional member service and expertly manage bar operations. The role requires knowledge of wine, liquor, and beer, with the ability to answer questions and guide selections for guests.

You will work in a fast-paced club setting, perform opening/closing side work, and collaborate with management to resolve member and guest needs. Prior bartending experience and POS familiarity are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of bartending experience.
• Natural ability to smile often while maintaining positive eye contact.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced demanding environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent member experience
• Make suggestions based on member preferences
• Take and serve food and drink orders
• Up-sell when appropriate
• Set up, stock, and maintain a clean bar
• Accurately ring in and charge members
• Cooperate and communicate with all staff
• Adhere to all relevant health department rules/regulations and customer service guidelines
• Perform opening and closing side work
• Work with management to resolve all member and guest complaints
• Complete other appropriate assignments directed by the Clubhouse Manager
• Learn and follow recipes for cocktails
• Perform light cooking and food prep
• Adhere to strict cleanliness standards
