Job summary

Ruth’s Chris Steak House in Maryland is seeking a Food Runner to pick up food items for service staff and deliver meals to guests, including bread, salads, entrees, and desserts. The role supports kitchen and service teams to maintain top quality, presentation, and timing for a superior dining experience.

You will read order tickets, coordinate with broil and pantry, garnish plates per recipes, and ensure food is served hot and promptly.

Responsibilities

• Reports to work on time in correct uniform and station as assigned.
• Sets up front line with equipment and supplies and keeps station stocked.
• Reads order tickets, tracks cooking times, ensures proper doneness and presentation.
• Coordinates with broil/pantry to time hot and cold items correctly.
• Garnishes entrees according to recipes and delivers hot, properly presented plates.
• Delivers food to tables and assists servers to ensure timely service.
• Assists with take-out/delivery curbside as needed.
• Follows safety, health, and sanitation guidelines throughout shift.
