Job summary

Ruth’s Chris Steak House in Wilmington, NC is hiring a Food Runner to support service staff and ensure guests receive timely, high-quality meals. You will assist kitchen and service teams to maintain food quality, presentation, and timing to enhance the guest dining experience.

The role requires strong guest service, knowledge of food handling and sanitation, and the ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Qualifications

• Excellent guest service skills.
• Understanding of proper food handling and sanitation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Reports to work in correct uniform and on time.
• Sets up front line with required equipment and maintains stock.
• Cleans trays and tray stands ready for service.
• Reads order tickets, tracks cooking times, and checks doneness and presentation.
• Coordinates with broil and pantry stations to time hot and cold items.
• Garnishes entrees and delivers food to tables hot and sizzling.
• Delivers food to the correct table and assists server to ensure timely service.
• Offers fresh cracked pepper with all items.
• Assists server to optimize guest dining experience.
• Carries take-out and delivery items to curbside as needed.
• Follows safety, health, and sanitation guidelines.
• Completes closing duties and maintains kitchen cleanliness.
• Performs side work and supports other front-of-house positions.
