Job summary

Ruth’s Chris Steak House in Raleigh, NC is seeking a friendly Food Runner to assist service staff and guests. You will pick up food orders, plate and deliver meals, and help maintain high standards of quality, presentation, and timing to enhance the guest experience.

The role requires strong guest service skills, knowledge of food safety, ability to stand for long periods, and the physical capacity to lift up to 50 pounds. Availability for afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays is needed.

Qualifications

• Excellent Guest service skills and a strong work ethic.
• Understanding of proper food handling and sanitation procedures.

Responsibilities

• Picks up and delivers food items for service staff to Guests.
• Sets up the front line with required equipment and restocks station.
• Reads order tickets, tracks cooking times, and checks doneness and presentation.
• Coordinates with broil and pantry stations to time hot and cold items.
• Garnishes entrees and trays and delivers food hot and sizzling.
• Delivers food to tables and assists servers for prompt service.
• Carries take-out and delivery items to curbside as needed.
• Follows safety, health, and sanitation guidelines and reports unsafe conditions.
• Completes closing duties and assists kitchen staff with cleanliness.
• Supports other Front-of-House roles to ensure a seamless Guest experience.
