Job summary

Kroger Great Lakes Distribution Center is seeking to fill a cashier/checker role in Bellevue, WA. You will greet customers, process transactions, and operate the POS system with accuracy while following company policies and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities include handling multiple tender types, maintaining a welcoming store environment, and helping customers with product questions. Flexible scheduling in full- and part-time roles is available.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic math (counting, addition, subtraction).
• Prior experience as a Bagger or Courtesy Clerk is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet, engage and assist customers at the checkout area.
• Process customer transactions quickly, accurately and efficiently.
• Operate the POS system and handle cash, checks, credit/debit, SNAP EBT, WIC and coupons per policy.
• Adhere to cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines.
• Follow policies for restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, DVDs) and report pricing discrepancies.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and comply with food safety regulations.
• Provide friendly, proactive customer service and answer product questions.
• Follow directions and escalate issues to store management as needed.
