Job summary

Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill + Bar in East Lansing is seeking a server to delight guests by exceeding expectations, serving food and drinks with courtesy and timeliness according to Applebee’s service standards.

The role requires excellent customer service, ability to work in a fast-paced setting, teamwork, flexibility for evenings and weekends, and the physical ability to stand and lift up to 20 pounds. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and ability to exceed guest expectations.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work a variable schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Ability to be mobile for at least 4 hours and lift up to 20 pounds.
• Be of legal age to serve alcohol.

Responsibilities

• Greets guests and interacts to create a friendly upbeat work environment.
• Familiarize guests with the menu and make appropriate suggestions when requested.
• Take guests orders and input them correctly in the POS using the write, repeat and review rule.
• Serve food and beverages using the Applebee’s TEAM delivery system.
• Pre bus table and sweep the surrounding area to keep it clean and comfortable.
• Collect payment from customers in a timely manner using the QR code or POS.
• Completes daily cleaning work tasks and maintains a clean and safe working environment.
• Anticipate guests' needs in order to facilitate an enjoyable dining experience.
