Job summary

Embassy Suites by Hilton Akron Canton Airport is seeking friendly, energetic hotel restaurant servers to join our food and beverage team. New to serving? We provide paid training and flexible scheduling to fit your life.

You’ll greet guests, take orders, and help with breakfast service and the evening manager's reception. Join a team that values hospitality and teamwork, with opportunities to work on banquets and catering events, learn menu details, and uphold high food safety standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as server or in food service preferred
• Friendly personality and strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, carry trays, and lift to 25 lbs
• Food handler's card, ServSafe, or alcohol service certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and take food and beverage orders accurately
• Serve made-to-order breakfast, including omelets, eggs, and breakfast favorites
• Serve food and drinks at the evening manager's reception
• Set up, serve, and break down banquet and catering events, including meetings, weddings, and group functions
• Know the menu, daily specials, and ingredients, and answer guest questions
• Use the POS system to enter orders and process payments
• Keep dining areas, buffets, tables, and service stations clean, stocked, and organized
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines
• Work with kitchen, bar, front desk, and banquet team members to deliver great service
• Handle guest requests and concerns quickly and professionally
