Job summary

Embassy Suites by Hilton Indianapolis North is seeking friendly Servers to join our food and beverage team. New to serving? We provide paid training and you’ll help guests start and end their day with a smile.

Greet guests, take orders, serve breakfast and evening receptions, and assist with banquets and catering events. You’ll work with kitchen and front desk staff to deliver exceptional service in a busy hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Previous server/food service experience preferred (not required).
• Friendly personality and strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift up to 25–30 lbs.
• Food handler's card, ServSafe, or alcohol service certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and take food and beverage orders accurately.
• Serve made-to-order breakfast, including omelets, eggs, and breakfast favorites.
• Serve food and drinks at the evening manager's reception.
• Set up, serve, and break down banquet and catering events, including meetings, weddings, and group functions.
• Know the menu, daily specials, and ingredients, and answer guest questions.
• Use the POS system to enter orders and process payments.
• Keep dining areas, buffets, tables, and service stations clean, stocked, and organized.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines.
• Work with kitchen, bar, front desk, and banquet team members to deliver great service.
• Handle guest requests and concerns quickly and professionally.
