Job summary

Kubo Sushi & Sake Lounge in Elgin, IL seeks an experienced Bartender who can also serve, or two candidates interested in either role. You will be the face of the restaurant, delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a friendly attitude.

Experience behind a bar or as a server is beneficial, and a Food Handler's Certification within 45 days of hire is required. Knowledge of Asian cuisine is helpful but not mandatory, and training will cover our menu and

Qualifications

• Experience as bartender or server in a busy environment.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting.
• Basset/Food Handler's Certification required within 45 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare restaurant tables with sanitation and order.
• Attend to customers with a friendly greeting at entry.
• Present menus and help customers select items; advise on allergens.
• Take and serve orders; coordinate with FOH/BOH and Executive Sushi Chef.
• Process payments and enter orders in POS; follow ringing guidelines.
• Assist with hosting duties if needed to guide guests to tables.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen/bar staff; handle issues positively.
