Job summary

New Belgium Brewing Company seeks a Hospitality Supervisor to organize daily operations of the Eccentric Café, manage the bar, events team, and tours, ensuring a world-class guest experience in Kalamazoo, MI. You will hire, train and coach staff, help plan departmental strategy and budget, and oversee inventory and scheduling for events and vendors.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of leadership and customer service experience.
• Knowledge of Bell's brands, history, process and culture within 6 months.
• Advanced verbal and written communication, including public speaking.
• Knowledge of the beer industry and trends.
• Thorough understanding of legal requirements for serving alcohol.
• High level interpersonal and mediation skills to handle difficult situations.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop team, including hiring, training, performance and coaching.
• Assist Hospitality Manager with organization, planning and budget implementation.
• Ensure world-class guest experience and meet departmental objectives.
• Oversee opening/closing of the Eccentric Cafe; plan staffing and events.
• Supervise inventory, supplies, beer, and POS; keep menu/ POS data updated.
• Assist with event and tour programming; cover shifts during events as needed.
• Perform cafe duties including customer service and tours.
