Job summary

Five Below is seeking a Store Manager for our Danbury, CT location. The role focuses on leading crew to wow customers, training, and overseeing daily store operations to deliver fast, friendly service.

The position requires at least 1 year of management experience, strong communication, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced retail environment. It entails flexible scheduling including days, evenings, weekends, and potential overnight shifts.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent; college experience preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to multi-task; creative thinking; maintain composure under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Wow customers through personal contact at the register and sales floor.
• Train crew on the BEST customer service experience; ensure fast, friendly check out.
• Oversee daily activities of store associates and ensure high service levels.
• Assist with receiving, unpacking, and stocking to the floor for rapid availability.
• Act as Manager on Duty, handling store operations, staff, and emergencies.
• Open/close the store: secure cash, doors, alarms, daily setup.
• Support onboarding and ongoing training of associates.
• Drive store sales and control expenses through merchandising and performance.
• Perform store maintenance including cleaning and stock room upkeep.
