Job summary

ASH Hotels seeks a Guest Service Agent for the Venice Beach property, delivering a first-class welcome and assisting guests from check-in through departure. The role requires juggling phones, walk-ins, and special requests with grace while using the PMS to manage reservations and payments.

The ideal candidate brings 1+ year in guest services, strong communication, cash handling accuracy, and a genuine hospitality mindset.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in guest services or front desk
• Experience with hotel PMS (Mews or similar) preferred
• Strong verbal communication and professional demeanor
• Basic math and cash handling accuracy
• Ability to multitask in high-volume check-in/out periods
• Flexible availability including weekends/holidays
• Passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction

Responsibilities

• Greet guests at check-in/out and set a warm tone
• Process reservations, check-ins/outs, room assignments, and payments in the PMS
• Handle cash, card transactions, and folio adjustments accurately
• Respond to phone and email inquiries with rate and availability information
• Provide local dining and activity recommendations
• Resolve guest concerns with empathy and escalate when needed
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to prep rooms
• Maintain guest records, shift logs, and reports
• Support group check-ins and events
• Stay informed on promotions and upsell opportunities
• Keep front desk area clean and welcoming
