Job summary

ASH Hotels seeks a Guest Service Agent in Venice Beach to be the welcoming face and problem-solving heart of the front desk. You will handle check-ins/outs, reservations support, and guest requests with warmth and efficiency.

The ideal candidate is a people-person who thrives under pressure, adept with PMS, and comfortable juggling calls, walk-ins, and special requests while maintaining brand standards and a positive guest experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ year in guest services or front desk in hospitality.
• Experience with hotel PMS systems (e.g., Mews) and ability to learn quickly.
• Strong verbal communication and a warm, professional manner.
• Basic math and cash-handling accuracy.
• Ability to multitask and stay composed during high-volume periods.
• Flexible availability including early mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends and holidays.
• Passion for hospitality and creating memorable first impressions.

Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome guests at check-in and check-out to set a positive tone.
• Operate the PMS to process reservations, check-ins/outs, room assignments and payments.
• Handle cash and folio adjustments with accuracy and accountability.
• Answer phone and email inquiries with information on rates and services.
• Provide personalized local dining, activity, and Venice Beach recommendations.
• Resolve concerns with empathy and escalate when appropriate.
• Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure room readiness.
• Maintain guest records, shift logs, and reports accurately.
• Support group check-ins, events and VIP arrivals with attention to detail.
• Stay informed on promotions and upsell where appropriate.
• Keep front desk area clean, organized and welcoming at all times.
