Job summary

Tru by Hilton Hazleton is seeking a front desk associate to warmly greet guests, handle check-in/out, and manage reservations with a focus on exceptional service. You will answer calls, coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance, process payments, and resolve issues to ensure a smooth stay.

The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to stay calm in a fast-paced environment. Basic computer skills and experience with hotel software are a plus.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service or the hospitality industry is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Physical ability to stand for prolonged periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and provide a positive first impression.
• Register guests, assign rooms, check-in/out, and manage key distribution.
• Answer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries; liaise between guests and hotel departments.
• Process payments, handle cash/credit transactions, and reconcile cash drawer.
• Resolve guest complaints promptly and professionally.
• Maintain a clean front desk area and handle general office duties like mailing and faxing.
