Qualifications

• Education and/or experience completed or working towards a High School Diploma or GED.
• No prior experience required.

Responsibilities

• Smiles and greets customers, answers customer questions and helps resolve customer concerns promptly, in a polite and professional manner.
• Operates front end scanning equipment and cash register; handles checkout procedures and bags merchandise.
• Maintains accuracy during the transaction and cash handling; observes policies for tobacco/alcohol sales.
• Keeps knowledge of weekly ads, promotions and store layout to assist customers.
• Ensures department sanitation and compliance with health and OSHA guidelines; disposes of trash properly.
• Cooperates with coworkers and supervisors to ensure smooth department/store function; strives to improve performance.
• Uses Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by the company (gloves, safety gear, footwear).
• May assist in other departments as needed.
