Job summary

Mall of America is seeking a friendly Guest Services Associate at its Bloomington, MN location. You will greet visitors, answer questions, assist with equipment rentals, directions, and trip planning, and resolve guest concerns with courtesy and problem-solving.

Ideal candidates are 16 or older, with outstanding guest service, good listening and communication skills, cash handling experience, and basic computer literacy. Flexibility for shifts, weekends, and events is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Outstanding guest service skills.
• Excellent listening and written and verbal communicationskills.
• Previous guest service experience preferred.
• Previous cash handling experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Basic computer literacy skills.
• Able to adapt to varying situations on a day-to-day basis.

Responsibilities

• Provide all callers and visitors with prompt and courteous service.
• Greet guests, uncover needs, and problem solve with them.
• Assist guests with equipment rentals, directions, and questions about the Mall.
• Assist guests with trip planning and guidance about the Mall and area.
• Resolve guest concerns using available resources.
• Handle cash and transactions on Mall POS systems.
• Assist guests in-person, on the phone, and via online chat.
• Maintain a professional and calm demeanor while listening to concerns.
• Communicate clearly in a team environment.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean and safe.
• Follow procedures for Lost and Found items.
• Switch tasks as needed and cross-train with other departments.
• Work flexible shifts including holidays, events, weekends.
