Job summary

Nothing Bundt Cakes – San Diego is seeking a Shift Leader to work with the Bakery Manager and team to deliver high‑quality cakes, a warm guest experience, and strong sales. You will share in team leadership and help drive day‑to‑day operations in a fast‑paced bakery environment.

The role emphasizes coaching, staff development and adherence to NbC standards, with opportunities for promotion within a growing brand.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED; post‑secondary education is a plus.
1‑3 years of guest‑facing experience in a retail, restaurant or food‑service environment, preferably in a lead role with progressive managerial responsibilities.
Demonstrated success creating a superior guest experience and coaching others to do the same, training new team members, directing the work of others, and achieving productivity goals.
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, with comfort in learning new technologies.
Must have the flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays, based on changing business demands.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with the bakery manager and assistant manager to drive sales and profitability.
Execute day-to-day bakery operations and ensure compliance with NbC standards.
Provide leadership and coaching to team members to create a superior guest experience.
Maintain a warm and welcoming environment for guests and staff.
