Job summary

MARCUS SAMUELSSON RESTAURANT GROUP is seeking a Server to deliver exceptional dining experiences with attentive, professional service. You will know the menu inside and out, anticipate guest needs, and ensure timely, high-quality service at each table.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking orders, relaying to kitchen and bar, delivering courses, and maintaining a clean, organized dining area while upselling specials and promotions. Previous high-volume experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Prior serving experience in a high-volume restaurant preferred.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage, including wine and cocktail pairings.
• Excellent communication and multitasking skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly, establish rapport and create a welcoming atmosphere.
• Provide detailed menu knowledge, ingredients, preparation methods and pairings.
• Take orders accurately and relay to kitchen and bar efficiently.
• Check in with tables to ensure guest satisfaction and address concerns.
• Enter orders into POS, deliver food promptly and monitor table needs.
• Upsell items and recommend specials to enhance dining experience.
• Coordinate with hosts, kitchen, and management to ensure smooth service.
• Assist in running food and beverages and keep dining area clean.
• Set tables, manage payments, and follow health and sanitation guidelines.
