Job summary

Grand Sierra Resort is seeking a professional restaurant server in Reno, NV. You will take orders, deliver meals, and maintain high standards of guest service throughout shifts. Knowledge of alcohol service and menu items is essential.

The role requires 21+ age, ability to work nights, holidays, and weekends, and compliance with Alcohol Awareness regulations. Prior hospitality experience preferred and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant server experience is required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Knowledge of alcohol service regulations.
• Ability to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Must obtain Alcohol Awareness Card.

Responsibilities

• Take beverage and food orders from restaurant guests and input orders into POS system.
• Deliver orders following required standards for the position.
• Prepare tableside items and anticipate guest needs.
• Complete side work and station prep.
• Explain menu and upsell dishes and beverages.
• Memorize menu and specials for recommendations.
• Ensure high quality food and guest service.
• Assist with events and large groups as needed.
• Adhere to SOPs for paperwork, cash, and auditing.
