Job summary

Grand Sierra Resort is seeking a friendly and professional restaurant server to take orders, deliver meals, and maintain dining standards. You will explain menus, memorize specials, and ensure guest satisfaction while working closely with a team in a fast-paced environment.

Previous server experience is required; familiarity with POS systems and alcohol regulations is a plus. This on-site role includes varied shifts, holidays, nights, and weekends.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of and ability to identify menu products.
• Superior knowledge of applicable laws and regulations in regard to alcohol service.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Ability to operate a glassware washing machine and manage ice/beverage bins.
• Must communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Take beverage and food orders from restaurant guests and input orders into POS system.
• Deliver orders following required standards for the position.
• Prepare tableside items and anticipate guest’s needs.
• Complete side work including stocking, polishing, and setup of service stations.
• Explain menu to guests and answer questions; memorize specials for pairing recommendations.
• Monitor quality of food and service to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Provide timely table maintenance and assist with events and larger groups.
• Adhere to SOPs regarding paperwork, cash, and auditing.
