Job summary

Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, NV is seeking a bartender/cocktail staff assistant to support bartenders, maintain bar setup, and ensure sanitation throughout shifts. You will promote menu items, greet guests, and manage storerooms and inventories in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Previous bar service experience is preferred. Must be 21+ and able to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends. Alcohol Awareness Card licensing is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of serving alcohol with care and menu products.
• Must be able to work in a team environment.
• Ability to operate a glassware washing machine and refill ice/beer bins.
• Must communicate in English, written and spoken.
• Basic reading, math, writing and task completion skills required.
• Skills: coordination, following instructions, problem solving, independent judgment.
• Flexibility to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Assist bartenders and cocktail staff in performance of their duties.
• Maintain proper set-up of bar daily before, during, and after shift.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of guest areas and equipment during shift.
• Promote menu items and hotel services to guests.
• Greet guests courteously and convey hotel activities to guests.
• Keep bars and storerooms organized, including refrigerated units.
• Refill chemicals such as hand soap or glass washer chemicals.
• Maintain proper inventory of products.
