Job summary

Aramark is seeking a server to join our events team in the Washington, DC area. You’ll take orders, serve food and drinks, and create memorable guest experiences while upholding service standards and safety policies.

You will demonstrate strong customer service, clear communication, and the ability to work evenings and weekends. This role emphasizes reliability, teamwork, and a guest-focused approach to every event.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in server or food service preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, written and verbal.
• Knowledge of food safety principles and procedures; able to obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Serves food and beverages to guests according to orders and banquet menus.
• Maintains knowledge of menu items and offerings.
• Keeps service areas clean and well stocked.
• Replenishes food and beverage products as needed.
• Adheres to alcohol service policies and checks IDs.
• Delivers friendly, proactive customer service and anticipates guest needs.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas and equipment.
• Maintains a positive demeanor with guests and coworkers.
• Follows Aramark safety policies and protects company assets.
