Job summary

Heritage Hotels & Resorts is seeking a friendly and customer-focused restaurant server to ensure polished service and memorable dining experiences. You will take orders, deliver meals, and coordinate timing with the kitchen in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Clear, friendly, and professional verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast paced restaurant environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience or training required.
• Proficiency with POS systems and basic cash-handling.
• Current New Mexico Food Handler Certification and Alcohol Server Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS; anticipate needs such as refills or condiments.
• Present checks promptly and process payments accurately.
• Deliver food and beverages according to service standards and perform quality checks after each course.
• Coordinate timing of courses with the kitchen to maintain smooth pacing.
• Complete opening, running, and closing side work; assist teammates as needed.
• Support bar or host staff during peak periods when appropriate.
• Participate in pre-shift meetings about menu changes and priorities.
• Maintain a high level of positive, professional interaction with coworkers and guests.
• Comply with nutrition, sanitation and safety standards at all times.
• Answer menu questions confidently and offer recommendations to enhance dining experience.
• Verify minimum age for alcoholic beverages; maintain proper service procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas, tables, and stations.
• Maintain professional appearance per uniform and grooming standards.
• Protect company assets and confidentiality of guest information.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
