Job summary

HMSHost is seeking a server in Boston to take food and beverage orders, serve guests, and coordinate with the kitchen to ensure timely service and high quality. This non-exempt role typically reports to the Store/General Manager depending on local requirements.

You will deliver excellent customer service, maintain station cleanliness, and handle payments while adhering to company policies. Training and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Must meet state minimum age for serving alcoholic beverages.
• At least 6 months of closely related serving experience; high-volume dining preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
• Excellent customer interaction and friendliness.

Responsibilities

• Takes food and beverage orders, places orders, delivers orders, and checks back for guest satisfaction.
• Maintains table appearance by pre-bussing, checks drink levels, and provides napkins.
• Presents check and handles payments as required.
• Follows HMSHost policies for customer service, beverage handling, and cash handling.
• Keeps station clean and well-organized.
