Job summary

J. Rieger & Co. is seeking a Server to provide knowledgeable and attentive food and beverage service across hospitality spaces and private events in Kansas City, MO.

You will guide guests through menus, handle orders and payments, and ensure a memorable guest experience aligned with service standards. Shifts are scheduled around events and operations; flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays is required, with on-site duties and collaboration across hosts, bartenders, culinary staff, and

Qualifications

• Previous serving or guest-service experience in hospitality preferred.
• Knowledge of food, cocktails, spirits, wine, beer; responsible alcohol-service.
• Strong communication, organization, time-management, and guest-recovery skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tables, orders, payments, and guest requests in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests promptly and provide attentive, knowledgeable service.
• Explain offerings and make recommendations based on guest preferences.
• Maintain knowledge of menus, ingredients, and allergens; communicate needs to team.
• Enter orders accurately and handle payments per procedures.
• Deliver food/beverages safely and in line with service standards.
• Coordinate with Hosts, Bartenders, culinary staff and managers for timely service.
• Assist with event setup, service, and breakdown as needed.
